All eyes are going to be on you on your wedding day so you definitely want to look and feel your absolute best. One of the ways to do this is to have a successful bridal trial! We asked Anomalie Beauty Agency to share how to make your bridal trial a success! Keep Reading to hear what they had to say!

Let’s chat Bridal Trials – In our experience, bridal trials are a two way street between the artist & the bride to ensure they go successfully. This is not talked about enough in the beauty community, so too often we find brides that have a million bridal trials with every artist in town and are still dissatisfied with the outcome. Here are our top 3 tips to make sure you LOVE your bridal preview!

1. Know what you want.

This sounds obvious, but we cannot begin to explain how many brides arrive to their trial with absolutely no idea of what they might want to do with their hair and makeup – Or worse, they bring about 10 different photos of looks and none of them look anything alike. Then, the artist or stylist does their absolute best to offer suggestions and find similarities amongst the inspiration photos, only for the client to be unhappy with the outcome. It’s basically like saying “Guess what I want!” And then being upset if the artist guesses wrong.

We recommend narrowing in on no more than 3 images that have similar qualities prior to your trial, and being sure to choose images of models that look like you! We also offer trial extensions if you are super unsure on what you might want, so we can try out multiple looks instead of just one!

2. Speak Up!

If there is anything that you don’t like at your trial, our team is here to listen, ask questions, and do our very best to remedy anything that you aren’t 100% in love with. Instead, brides often feel nervous to share criticism and feedback with the artist/stylist themselves, only to let us know afterwards that they weren’t completely satisfied with their look. The easiest time to make changes is during your trial, and communication is KEY!

3. Connection & Trust is Top Priority.

Many of our brides think that the trial is meant to nail the exact look, down to the millimeter of where each hair is placed or the exact angle the eyeliner has been applied before their big day – And end up feeling disappointed if they decide they want to try a different look on their wedding day after the trial. This can result in multiple bridal trials, which we respectfully feel is not necessary. The most important thing is NOT getting down to an exact science with your look – It’s that you trust your artist’s skill set and you connect with them while feeling comfortable communicating changes or feedback. As long as you have that basis of trust and truly love who you’re working with, we are certain that you’ll be happy with whatever look you decide on for your big day!
