Are you considering getting a spray tan for your wedding day? Check out all the details from Anomalie Beauty Agency.

We all love having that bronze summer glow throughout every season!

We love spray tanning just as much as the next girl, but we always like to keep it 100% real and transparent – While spray tanning offers a convenient and safe way to achieve a bronzed look, it’s not the best solution for everyone. We’re here to explore who should and shouldn’t consider getting spray tans – Keep reading for our real, raw and unfiltered take on how to find out if you are the best candidate for a professional spray tan and the Yay or the Nay for spray tan on your Wedding Day.

Who Should Consider Spray Tans?

Fair-Skinned Individuals: Fair-skinned individuals often have a higher risk of sunburn and skin damage from UV rays. Spray tans provide a sunless option to achieve a tan without the risk of overexposure to the sun.

People with Sensitive Skin: If you have sensitive skin that’s prone to irritation or allergic reactions when exposed to sunlight, spray tans can help you avoid those issues.

*Psssst* Did we mention that we use NUDA Canada for our spray tan solution? All of their products are vegan, cruelty-free, made without parabens, sulphates or gluten!

Those with a Busy Lifestyle: If you have a hectic schedule and can’t spend hours under the sun, spray tans offer a quick and effective solution. We know how busy life can get, beauty – Whereas a session with us typically takes less than 30 minutes, and you don’t even have to leave your house!

Special Occasions: Spray tans are ideal for events like weddings, parties, or vacations where you want to look your best without waiting for a natural tan to develop.

Anyone Looking for a Healthy Alternative: For those who want a bronzed look without the associated health risks of UV exposure, spray tans are a safe and effective choice!

Who Shouldn’t Consider Spray Tans?

Individuals with Serious Skin Conditions: Individuals with skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis should consult a dermatologist before getting a spray tan. While the solution we personally use in spray tans is great for sensitive skin, certain ingredients might irritate these conditions. You want to make sure your skin will be happy and healthy after getting a spray tan!

If you are Extremely Fair with Blonde, Red, or Light Colored Hair, and Spray Tanning, or Any Tan for that matter, Rarely Looks Natural on you. While we truly feel that nearly everyone looks beautiful with a bit of a glow, and love the ability to customize our results with our NUDA spray tan solution, we want to be completely honest about the results that you can expect. There are certain women that truly just look absolutely beautiful with their pale skin, and we believe that you should embrace that! If you can’t recall a time in your life that you’ve tanned naturally outside in the sun (even just a tiny bit), or have had experiences with even the most natural looking spray tan in the past, and always feel like you end up looking unnatural, or that the color isn’t flattering with your natural undertones – A spray tan might not be the best choice for you, and that is 100% okay. A great example of this would be celebrities such as Anya Taylor Joy or Julianne Moore. With their natural porcelain skin and very light or red hair, their coloring pops the most with their natural skin tone!

Individuals Not Willing or Able to Follow the Pre & Post Care Instructions. While the quality of your tan is certainly dependent on the professional you work with, we do want to emphasize the importance of pre and post care in ensuring your tan is absolutely flawless. Pre tan care means shaving, waxing, and exfoliating before your tan, and ensuring your skin is clean and free of any moisturizer and perfume before the application. Post tan care includes refraining from showering for 6-8 hours minimum following your tan and wearing loose fitting clothing so as not to rub off the tan. Remember, your first shower should always be a rinse with no heavy soaps, which should only be used on your underarms and private areas until after the first shower. Keeping your skin moisturized is key to extending the life of your tan – You can even utilize at home sunless tanning products to help your tan last even longer. Typically, you can expect your spray tan to last up to 7 days with proper care!
