Tell us a little bit about Enchanted Bridal and Boutique, and how you got started!

Enchanted Bridal & Boutique

My husband, Jeb House, and I purchased Enchanted Bridal & Boutique from a sister duo here in Shelbyville, TN back in early summer of 2021. We hit the ground running with this project and opened our doors on July 17, 2021. As a former bride, I wanted to feel confident and comfortable on my wedding day. I mean who doesn’t? So as part of our mission here at Enchanted we strive to make every bride feel that way in their wedding dress before they leave our store. We carry a wide variety of sizes and styles; while offering off the rack and orderable selections to fit all bride’s time frames. We also carry a wide variety of wedding dresses for all budgets.

What makes your business unique?

Enchanted Bridal & Boutique

I feel like Enchanted is unique because our brides get a special experience with not just a bridal consultant in our store, but with the actual owner in a quaint and charming setting. My favorite days at work are when I get to work with the brides myself to make their bridal dreams come true.

What is your favorite part of working with brides?

Enchanted Bridal

The moment a bride finds her dress. It is the best feeling for me when I get to see a bride who feels confident and beautiful in their wedding dress for the first time. All brides express the moment differently, but they all have that look on their face that says “this is my dress!”

One piece of advice for couples?

Communication. Communication is big in a relationship, most importantly a marriage. We all change and mold into new people. As you do that, you should be honest and communicate with your spouse/partner so that everything you both feel is out on the table. My husband and I started our relationship in 2012 and we still make sure that communication is key.

Childhood career aspiration?

As a child, I enjoyed playing school with my friends and I believed that teaching was what I wanted to do. I went to University of Tennessee at Martin and obtained my teaching degree in 2017. I taught at a local elementary school in Shelbyville for four years before beginning this new dream of mine.

Your fav beverage…? And why?

Dr. Pepper. I mean, how can it not be a fave – especially when you get one with a little more cherry than the others? I most enjoy being able to have a refreshing Dr. Pepper when I need a little boost in my day.

Hidden talent?

I wouldn’t say I have any special hidden talents, but I do have hobbies. My husband and I have a cattle farm and enjoy working out on the farm together. He is also in the process of starting a food trailer (M•A•C DADDIES) and then has teamed up with his mom to open up Glass Hollow Table & Tavern in our hometown of Shelbyville. All of this keeps us pretty busy these days as we all help each other.
