One of the saddest things in life is missing a close family or friend at your wedding. All we want is for everyone we love to be there to share in our big day, but sometimes life does not allow that to happen. There are some beautiful ways you can honor passed family members or friends at your big day so you can still feel as though they are with you.
Here are some ways you can honor your most precious passed loved ones:
Jewelry
Incorporating jewelry to represent a passed loved one is a beautiful way to honor them. Whether it’s a piece of jewelry that was actually owned by your loved one or a custom piece made, you can’t go wrong here. It’s also something you will be able to keep after your wedding day.

Photo Display
Having a display of photos of your loved ones is another perfect way to feel like they are there on your big day. This is a great way for your guests to get to see loved ones that maybe they haven’t met and get a sense of your relationship with them or their personalities. You can add florals, candles or other decor as well.

Clothing Items
Wearing or incorporating a piece of clothing from a passed loved one is another idea. Such as wearing an item that was actually owned by the person, or just using a piece. Some women will take a piece of clothing and have it sewn into their wedding dress!
Florals
Incorporating specific florals that can represent a passed loved one is a perfect, simple way to honor them. For example if you have lost your mother or grandmother you could incorporate their favorite or their birth month flower as a way to honor them on your big day.

Save a Seat for Them
Leaving an open seat for passed loved ones is a great way to feel like they are still there at your big day. It’s a beautiful, symbolic gesture to show that you are thinking of them.
