WHAT’S WILD ABOUT WOOD, FIERCE ABOUT FLORA, OR PECULIAR ABOUT PETALS?

Wood has been used for everything else, so why not flowers?!? Is it real wood? YES! Sola Wood Flowers are made from the roots of a quick-growing renewable plant source, native to India and marshy areas. All done by hand, sheets of the Sola material are shaved from the core of the plant, cut to shape, & tied. We then hand-dye, stem, & design/construct our pieces. The concept of using wood for arrangements & bouquets is pretty Wild & Peculiar…so of course, we wanted in! It’s different & unique, just like you. Whatever the dream, idea, theme, or tradition may be…Wild Woods wants to help you make it a reality. Let’s make some Fierce art together!

WHAT INSPIRES US?

We’re really excited to introduce a modern take on the traditional Live flower arrangement/bouquet. Not only will wood flowers last longer, but maybe we can save some bees along the way! Inspiration comes from all over; YOU, Color, Music, Art, etc. There’s no limit on design styles. Classic, elegant, & chic…to the most unique, abstract, & unusual! No matter what your style may be, we feel we can bring your ideas to life! If you want it, we’ll attempt it!

WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED TO CREATE OUR PIECES?

Natural Sola Wood is used, in variation with; Silk, Real Touch, Dried, & Preserved/Artificial Fillers to create beautiful & Fierce pieces that will stand the test of time. No water needed to keep these memories alive! The containers we use are anything we can find that will hold flowers, made from many types of mediums. New, Used, Recycled, Upcycled, Upside down, Diagonal, Etc!

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY WOOD FLOWERS?

Wood, Dried, and Preserved Flowers & Fillers are 100% sustainable & biodegradable, but also fragile, by nature.
Tips to help keep them timeless:

-These natural materials need to breathe! Do NOT keep in an air-tight container or places with excessive moisture or heat. Cool and dry is the key.

-These flowers do NOT appreciate getting wet! They can mold and lose their shape. If you are storing them away for any length of time, you can use a silica pack, or breathable mesh bags, to help stave off moisture.

Note: If your order was shipped to you, open the box and unwrap your order, as soon as possible. Try to avoid leaving the flowers laying down.

-Keep out of direct sunlight to help colors stay vibrant.

-Do NOT use chemicals or water to clean your flowers! Use a feather duster or hair dryer on the lowest/coolest setting. Don’t get too close to the petals, they may rip. If needed, you can use a small paintbrush to get into the crevices. And when all else fails, use the old-fashioned method…pick it up and blow it off!
