You are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your invitation suite. If you read our blog “The Invitation Suite”, then you know there are often many pieces which need mailed with your Wedding Invitations.  Did you realize that 99% of the time, your invites and the like arrive unassembled? Belly bands, envelopes, backers and such are shipped neatly together. If you have something that needs folding, it will have a ‘score’ to indicate where the fold line is. All items will have to be assembled and placed into the envelopes.

Unassembled Wedding Invitations

Not sure where to start, we asked Kim owner of paperkuts Studio to fill us in on the order of it all! Most often, it will be the smallest on the top and largest on the bottom. If an inner envelope is present, all items are placed inside and it faces the outer envelope, unsealed. The recipient should be able to read his or her name when it’s removed, with their right hand. The assembly, from the top, is all face-up.•reply card placed underneath the flap of reply envelope•reception card•invitation If you have additional elements, such as an accommodation or directions card, they will be included according to size. Again, if you remove the suite with your right hand and you can read the text, it’s all in order! Clean, lotion and polish free hands are a must.

If you don’t have time to assemble them or simply don’t want to, they can be assembled via your stationer, printer or planner for an additional fee.
