Wedding planning can be fun, but it can also be one of the most stressful things that you have to do. So it’s important to not let it overwhelm you and try to enjoy this wonderful time in your life! Here are some ways to help with all the stress of planning your big day:

Hire a Professional Planner

If you have the means, hiring a professional planner is a great way to help with the stress of planning everything yourself. My husband and I ended up having a bigger wedding than we expected and I don’t think we would have been able to pull off everything without the help of our wedding planners. They took care of so much so that we didn’t even have to worry about it. Local wedding planners such as Simply Elegant Events, Her Signature Events and Events by Aly are great options if you are planning a wedding in the Nashville area!

Ask For Help

I believe the biggest piece of advice to give to someone who is planning a wedding is to ask for help. I’m sure that most of your family and friends would be happy to help with whatever you need during this time. Delegate some specific tasks so that you can focus on the rest.

Take Time Together

It’s important to not make every moment of every day about planning, this is a great way to overwhelm yourself or your partner. Take time for just the two of you where you are not talking about the wedding. When my husband and I were planning our wedding we would have specific dates where we agreed to not talk about the wedding and just enjoy each other’s company. Maybe even planning a small trip to get away from everything!

Enjoy This Time

Some parts of the wedding planning may not be the most fun, but it’s important to try enjoy as much of it as you can while the time is here. If you are too stressed about other parts of the planning process it can make the really fun events less fun than they would be.

Stay Organized

Staying organized is a great way to lessen the stress of wedding planning. Make a checklist of all the tasks and when you should have them done by so you can keep track of all the things you need to do.

Communicate

Make sure to communicate with your partner throughout the planning process, especially when you are feeling stressed. Talking through things can help you de-stress when things are getting overwhelming.

Lastly just remember, that there is an end in sight and all the planning and stress will be worth it! This will truly be the best day of your life and you will look back and not even remember the planning.
