Happily Connected’s Inaugeral Wedding Showcase took place on February 24, 2019 at the beautiful Wilburn Street Studio in East Nashville. The 3800 square foot venue served as the perfect locale for this event for many reasons, but one of the best features was the beautiful natural light that shined through the front windows!

Happily Connected’s Wedding Showcase was created to promote Happily Connected Vendors and other local Nashville area vendors. We were honored to showcase so many fantastic vendors in our amazing city!

Happily Connected’s wedding showcase was different than most wedding showcases that you’ve probably been to before. Instead of having rows and rows of booths for each vendor, Wilburn Street Studio was set up like a reception with several vignettes that showcased a different style. This allowed vendors to showcase their work and give couples a real life feel of how their wedding could look.

Six gorgeous ladies modeled different styles of dresses from Eleven Bridal and Something You Couture. All Bridal did an awesome job on their hair and makeup.

The showcase and models were captured beautifully by four of Happily Connected’s amazing photographers

Three design teams created six different tablescapes to give couples inspiration. The tablescape designs were Traditional, Glam, Modern Minimalist, Vintage, Rustic Chic and 70’s and Boho.

Traditional

The gorgeous bronze trifold invitation created by Fanciful Ink set the tone for this Traditional tablescape created by Renee with Simply Elegant Events. The beautiful white florals by Southern Belles and Blooms add a perfect touch to the traditional white table linen and china from Premier Event Rentals. The clear candle holders and soft pink napkins add a nice modern touch while still remaining traditional in style.

Glam

Morgan Jackson owner of Her Signature Events collaborated on the “Glam” tablescape design with Dorothy of The Center of the Table. The team used a black table linen, with clear Chiavari chairs, dark brown leather patterned chargers, white glass plates with gold trim, gold flatware, clear wine glasses, and white napkins. The centerpieces we chose small crystal tea light candleholders, and tall crystal vases with large oversized light pink and gold flowers with gray and gold ostrich feathers. The clear Chiavari chairs, gold flatware, and crystal vases unified all the eclectic elements, and the over the top centerpieces married everything together for the ultimate “Glam” design tablescape for the “WOW” factor.

Modern Minimalist

When it comes to your wedding day we want to make sure that YOU are the shining star. But, that doesn’t mean that your décor has to be anywhere near dull. This modern minimalistic design style is for the bride who believes less is more. While designing this table Aly with Events by Aly wanted to keep it clean and crisp, but make guests say WOW! And this creative team definitely read her mind! The clean white plates, silverware and sparkling champagne glasses from Premier Event Rentals paired beautifully with the gorgeous white, long stemmed lilies and white orchids in simple glass cylinders from Southern Belles & Blooms. The stunning acrylic invitation and super modern marble tile place cards from Fanciful Ink were the perfect addition to complete this Modern Minimalist look.

Vintage

Green and white with touches of silver were the inspiration behind this Vintage tablescape. Renee with Simply Elegant Events along with Southern Belles and Blooms and Premier Event Rentals created this lovely vintage design. The highlight of the table was the silver tea set with beautiful intricate details that made you feel like you were back in the past. The gorgeous white hydrangea centerpiece finished the look beautifully!

Rustic Chic

The dynamic duo of Morgan with Her Signature Events and Dorothy with Center of the Table combined their eclectic tastes and created this gorgeous “Rustic Chic” table scape. The table design included an 8ft. wooden table provided by Premier Event Rentals, had the original ridge pattern for texture, and rich brown color which provided the rustic feel. The table was paired with rentals from Her Signature Events which included clear Chiavari chairs, white chiffon runner,  white candles, silver chargers, silver flatware, and glass water goblets to provide a soft “Chic” look. The rustic feel of the invitations created by Fanciful Ink were woven into the style with the hunter green napkins and wooden signature place cards. Dorothy of Center of the Table continued the natural look with earth tone flowers with hints of soft pink and orange when creating the centerpieces. All of these elements together created the perfect “Rustic Chic” design for the unique bride.

70’s Boho

Nothing screams wedding in spring time quite like bright colors and butterflies! Aly with Events by Aly said when she was looking for inspiration her mind kept thinking about the 1970’s. Flowy dresses, whimsical flowers, and fun came to mind. Southern Belles & Blooms rocked the florals with a mix of bright cheery flowers and hearty greenery. Allison with The Rolling Pin made the cutest (and yummiest!) place card butterfly cookies to go with the super fun invitations created by Laurie with Fanciful Ink. The design was tied together with a beautiful “Bride” wearing a cute hat, killer snake skin booties and custom long sleeved bridal gown by Something You Couture. We hope this design encourages you to think outside the box and HAVE FUN with your wedding design!

The event was catered by Kathy’s Sugar and Spice Catering with a full set up of finger foods including cheeses and fruit, etc. There was also a carving station with amazing brisket and yummy Mac n’ Cheese!

Desserts were provided by Allison of The Rolling Pin. She had a variety of delicious cupcakes and cookies as well as an amazing centerpiece cake.  YUM!

Fancy sips created an awesome signature drink called the “Purple Rain” cocktail which was absolutely amazing! (and pretty!) They also poured wine which was graciously donated by Lebanon Wine and Spirits

Jon Boyce of Music Tree Entertainment was the wonderful DJ/MC for the event. The “Bride” models were dancing the night away to his amazing mix of music! Whitney Wyatt performed several songs throughout, even her original song Body & Soul.

Linda Dancer with Honeymoons Inc. was available to answer questions about honeymoons and destination weddings!
