Tennessee Tiny Weddings was the perfect setting for the sweet intimate elopement of Robin and Tim Farmer. On Sept 23, 2023 with Julie of Tennessee Tiny Weddings officiating, Robin and Tim exchanged vows surrounded by their three children. We love every detail of their sweet intimate ceremony. Keep reading to learn more about Robin and Tim’s day and see the gorgeous photos captured by Nicolette of N. Daugherty Photography.

From the bride, Robin

We met at the hospital in Bowling Green where we both work.  I started there as a travel nurse and TIm’s a Respiratory Therapist.   We had started talking one day and realized how much we had in common and have been together ever since.  Last December he came to the hospital to see me for lunch since he was off that weekend.  He surprised me with the proposal while all of my friends at work watched and got it on video! He even brought my daughter, Jenna with him!  He’s so thoughtful ❤️❤️❤️.

We decided to elope after going back and forth about wedding venues and visiting almost all of them in Bowling Green and Franklin.  We talked about it and decided that we didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding at our age, and not to mention we re in the middle of construction on Tim’s house to make room for all of us.  ❤️ So that’s part of the reason we chose Tennessee Tiny weddings, we only wanted the ceremony to be us and our kids there!

The reason why we chose Tennessee Tiny Weddings without thinking twice was how easy the entire process was working with Julie.  After talking with her over the phone about all of the few details she needed from us, I knew this was going to be the best way for us to get married.  She gave me a list of photographers to contact, and I knew it would be a challenge since we booked the date a week out.  (No stress at all right?). After contacting a few of them with no availability I was starting to get a little nervous.  The last person that I contacted was booked and so I asked her if she knew anyone that may be available, so she gave me Nicolette’s contact information and the rest is history.

While planning Tim’s and his sons, Cameron and Conner’s outfits, I had ordered a dress on Amazon to save money.  It was beautiful!  I was supposed to get it two days before the wedding, so everything was happening on time…well, the dress never showed up.  The day before the wedding I went to David’s Bridal in Bowling Green hoping to find something on the rack that would fit me and luckily, I found one…shew I was a nervous wreck!

The day of the wedding Jenna and I picked up the flower and got our nails done that morning and came back home and she did my hair, and I did my own makeup.  Jenna had a dress that was in the same color scheme that matched the flowers and the boys were wearing jeans with white shirts and navy jackets.  We all went together to the venue.  Once we got there and of course we had to be late because of traffic in Nashville but everyone was patiently waiting for us.  Once we arrived, Julie and James were there to make us feel welcome and explained how the ceremony would go.  Our photographer, Nicolette was eager to get started taking photographs and had asked me to send her all ideas of photos that I wanted in advance.  She was amazing!  The entire ceremony including photographs lasted two hours and was the easiest and stress-free event!  We couldn’t have asked for anything better.  The property had several areas for photos to be taken, including the Hitchin Post, where we had the ceremony.  There were church pews with a gorgeous chandelier overhead.  The pond was beautiful with a water fall and had a platform/bridge which we danced our first dance on.  There was also the love shack that looked rustic with stepping stones around it.  We also sat inside the old blue truck for some cool photo ops!  It was all beautiful!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Farmer!
