Wedding Date – 4/26/2025

Dale and Paige’s wedding at Twin Creeks Resort and Marina was a sweet and romantic celebration filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends. Set against a peaceful lakeside backdrop, their day blended effortless elegance with personal touches that made it truly unforgettable.

With purple and blue florals setting the tone, bridesmaids in purple, and groomsmen in sharp royal blue suits, the entire celebration radiated color and charm. From a heartfelt ceremony to joyful dances and meaningful moments with loved ones, every detail reflected the couple’s easygoing spirit and deep connection.

After meeting in college over a decade ago and growing from best friends to soulmates, Dale and Paige wanted a day that felt genuine and joyful—and that’s exactly what they created. Their wedding was filled with laughter, emotion, and the kind of love that’s built to last. It was, in every way, simple, romantic, and sweet. Keep reading to hear what Paige had to say about their wedding and celebration.

Tell Us About Your Wedding Journey

We initially met in college over 10 years ago and became best friends! Dated on and off over the years until the bride finally figured it out (haha).

Dale found the venue and we fell in love the first time we visited! From there, we simply picked a date and made it simple yet elegant, as we just wanted to enjoy the day as easily as possible. Anna and Cindy are the BEST wedding coordinators ever and were there every step of the way, and so easy to contact!

Tell Us About Your Engagement.

Our engagement was actually in December 2023! I had a spa day to relax and enjoy a nice day on my own while my daughter was in daycare. We then went to dinner at a fancy restaurant, and on the way, stopped in front of a massive Christmas tree where Dale got on one knee and proposed! The tree was lit, and it was absolutely magical! It was a huge surprise, and we still laugh to this day about how I didn’t want to take my jacket off, but Dale was VERY persistent on it (for photos, of course!).

Tell Us About Your Day.

The wedding day went off without a hitch! It was great spending time with family and friends while we got ready, especially when my daughter was running around with Cheeto hands trying to touch everyone’s dresses. She even fell asleep in her Minnie Mouse chair during all the commotion! Once she was awake, we walked down to give my Dad his first look together. It was very sentimental, with everyone doing their best not to cry.

The ceremony was perfect; the officiant was very sentimental with his words, and even gave us his mother’s cookbook, which contains all her special recipes that she made. He said it was very special to him that the bride wanted recipes from the guests, as he had learned his most important life lessons around the dinner table.

At the reception, we made sure to get a photograph with every guest in front of our green wall, as that is their thank you card from the wedding! A special memento for the guests for celebrating with us on our special day.

We also had a few special dances, where I invited all the fathers and daughters to dance together, as a few family members didn’t have those when they got married. We also had a four-generations dance where we did different dances between the generations. Lastly, we had an anniversary dance where my grandparents were the last on the dance floor, having been married for 62 years, and then they danced to their first dance song together one more time.

The food was AMAZING! There were very little leftovers, and we got numerous comments about how great it was. The cake was simple but exactly what we wanted, and everyone else got cupcakes that were to die for! The kiddos enjoyed the bounce house and danced their tails off all afternoon. It was a great place for everyone to have a great time together!

Special note: The father of the bride wore his sleeveless shirt, which resembles a tuxedo, as he is often seen in sleeveless shirts (this was the first time he had ever worn a suit at a wedding).

It was an amazing day where friends and family alike got to enjoy a beautiful spring day together with amazing food and dancing. The entire day, we just kept saying that they couldn’t wish for anything more and that it was perfect.

Lessons Learned And Advice On Wedding Planning

The only real challenges we faced were getting travel plans organized with family, getting a headcount, and the usual challenges that come with bringing a group of people together. We are originally from New York (Buffalo/Niagara Falls), so ensuring everyone was invited, accounted for, and arrived on time with a place to stay was the most time-consuming part. There were numerous phone calls and spreadsheets, but we are both extremely organized, so it was figured out fairly simply.

My biggest piece of advice is to plan as much as you can in advance. I had a list of guests, addresses, and vendor ideas, etc., before we even looked at venues. The more you can get done ahead of time for your coordinators, the easier it goes. Anna and Cindy had commented a few times on how organized and prepared we were for all our meetings, and that little bit of effort goes a long way. It also helps to ask your friends about the different things they did that made their day super smooth. For example, my matron of honor had leftover decorations, to-go boxes, and templates for various items that I was able to edit and use for our wedding.

Congratulations Paige & Dale!
