My husband and I decided at the last minute we wanted to get married for the New Year. We gave Rene with Forever Thine Planning a 2 week notice before the wedding day. She jumped right into action finding me flowers, cake and she managed to get me into a wedding dress and have it altered within two weeks. My husband works out of town and he was also provided with a Tux that she managed to get ordered for us. She was also able to find someone to officiate our wedding and get reservations last minute at the Hotel Alex Johnson for New Year’s Eve!! We had our pictures taken on the roof, it was so magical. She took care of all the details throughout the day and kept everything running smoothly. I had absolutely no stress during any of the planning or my wedding day.

The best way to start a New Year is to end the previous year with a wedding. On Dec. 31st 2022, I had the pleasure of planning Danielle Kertzman and Evan Wheaton’s Wedding. Danielle came to me less than a month before her wedding and asked if it would be possible to plan her elopement by then and I of course said absolutely! I got to work right away and was reaching out to all my vendors I knew to set up a special day for my bride and groom.
On the day of the wedding it was absolutely magical. The couple rented a beautiful airbnb for the bride to get ready at and then later have their reception at it, which was no traditional reception. The ceremony was located at Falling Rock which is beautifully tucked away in the Black Hills in South Dakota. During their first look it started to snow and made for stunning pictures. After their first look pictures the bride was escorted by her father to the cliff that overlooked a small piece of the Black Hills. The officiant put together a wonderful message for the bride and groom and the vows that the bride and groom wrote were tender and full of love.
After the ceremony their family and friends loaded into their jeeps and went to the Vertex Sky Bar at the Alex Johnson hotel for dinner. They took sunset photos on the patio which gave them the background of Rapid City.
The best part though was the reception. At the Airbnb they had their first dance in the living room and cut cake right there in the kitchen after that they sat with their friends and played games all night long until the New Year rang.
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. Wheaton!
