Hi! I’m Carmela from Carmela’s Flower Company. Although I have done a lot of weddings over the years, I just started my wedding floral business in June of 2023. It all began with the beautiful wedding of Lexi and Johnny.
Lexi is the granddaughter of a very close friend, and I watched her mother, Jodi, grow into adulthood and get married. When Lexi got engaged, Jodi made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. She asked me to coordinate, plan and design the florals for Lexi’s wedding. In addition to payment, she gifted me the entire inventory for me to start my business.
Lexi and Johnny were married on June 16, 2023 at Patten Chapel located at The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. All white florals adorned the outside door, the isles, and the altar area of this beautiful Cathedral. Two 8’ floral stands and 6 white pedestals with 52” glass candelabra’s set the stage for the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Walden Club which is located on the top floor of the Bank of America/Republic Center, the tallest building in Chattanooga. The Ballroom hosts spectacular views of Lookout & Elder Mountain. The bride and groom entered the room dancing!
The tables were dressed in white linens with sage green table runners and white florals to maintain the theme of the ceremony. The cake showed its reflection in the 72” gold mirror placed behind it. With beautiful florals surrounding the area.
The bride and groom ended this beautiful celebration, through a line of sparklers held by their family and friends.
It was such a joy to work with this couple from the beginning to the end of their celebration.
