From the gold sequin sweetheart table to the custom macramé backdrop and pampas grass, every detail of Katie and Lane’s wedding exuded boho glam. Shades of dusty pink and terracotta were the perfect accompaniment to their boho glam style. But don’t take our word for it, keep scrolling and check out all of the gorgeous details and hear what Katie told us about their perfect day!
From Bride, Katie
The day was truly perfect. I made a pact to myself after working some weddings with Gabby, that I wouldn’t let anything ruin the day (because something is bound to happen). Well, even if something went wrong, I didn’t notice it! We truly had the BEST support system. We decorated 90% of the venue the night before where it was all hands-on deck. With everyone’s help, we had tables, chairs, and linens set up within an hour. I even forgot to take the tags off of our vases and everyone was hands on in an assembly line scraping them off. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before.
The morning of was very easy going. Our cousins brought in muffins, fruit cups, and mimosas. We left a few details for the day of, like florals and the arbor. A family friend picked up the bouquets and greenery that we had made on Wednesday and dropped them off for us. I LOVE a good greenery table and it came together just as I had pictured. A friend of mind custom made the macramé for our arbor and it was just gorgeous.
As I mentioned in my Facebook post, our vendors were all amazing. Our photographer and videographer were on top of making the most of every moment because we decided to not do a first look. Once I was ready for the day, time just didn’t seem to slow down. I was nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time. But once I got to the end of the aisle, I felt nothing but pure joy. From marrying my best friend, to being walked down the aisle by my father who had 4 surgeries within a year and worked his tail off to be able to do so, to my brother being our officiant, and of course being surrounded by so much love..it was perfect!

We love Everyday Fiestas and have worked with them many, many times, which is what prompted me to recommend them to Katie for rentals. Terri and her team are not only some of the hardest workers ever, but also they’re so friendly and offer a great inventory at a great price.
Can you tell us more about the propellor guest book and the sweet bride & groom cake topper.
Lane and I actually met through Tinder during the pandemic. At the time we both still lived in Colorado but I had plans to move to Tennessee. Our first date was at a point where places were open but social distancing was required. We met for our first date at a restaurant and then went back to his place to play board games. Lane is a pilot and was working at a flight school at the time, so he took us flying for our second date. Which brings me to a bit of our “theme”. Aviation is a huge part of his life, so I wanted to include that into our wedding. Our invitations were “passports”, a wood propellor was our guest book, and luggage tags served as our wedding favors.
The sweet bride and groom cake toppers are actually an awesome story, so I’m glad you asked! The story is a little hazy, but I will do my best. When my grandpa was serving in Korea, he bought 2 pairs of these bride and groom cake toppers: 1 for my mom and 1 for his sister. At some point my mom’s groom broke but she still hung onto it as a gift from her dad. Many years down the road mom and my great aunt Mae stumbled on this topic and her bride had actually broken or got lost. She gave the groom to my mom saying they needed to be reunited. I’m so grateful we got to use them as both Grandpa and Aunt Mae have past now.
