Alyssa and Cody met in the summer of 2021, through a mutual friend and a text- but they were living in different states nowhere close to each other. Plans changed when Cody, a special forces soldier, was transferred to Fort Drum in New York where Alyssa was working as a nurse. They gave a Facetime date a try and knew immediately they had something special. Their relationship grew quickly, and when it was time for Cody to return to Nashville and prepare for his final deployment, they agreed to move together. The couple’s mutual love of Harry Potter made it easy to pick a location for a post-deployment trip; they headed to Universal Studios, where Cody proposed right in front of Hogwarts!
Rust, blue, orange, and yellow were the perfect hues for Alyssa and Cody’s gorgeous Autumn wedding at the Cedars at Carr Farm on October 21, 2022. The florals, bridesmaids dresses and the men’s suits were the perfect complement to the changing colors of the trees! Everything about their Autumn Wedding was stunning!

When it came time to plan our October wedding, I knew I wanted the Romance & Rust team by my side. “Kathy’s eye for decorating is spot on,” she says, “And she loves what she does and does it well. She goes above and beyond with communicating and finalizing every single detail!”
Kathy wasn’t the only person involved in making our big day a success- Savannah, Kathy’s daughter, was also working hard to get every detail perfect. “They make the perfect duo to overcome anything,” Alyssa says. “Trust me, I had my fair share of hiccups on the day of, but it never fazed me. I knew we were in great hands.”
Cody and Alyssa then shared a “First Touch” and read notes that they wrote to each other. We love that they saved their “First Look” for the ceremony!
Alyssa and Cody and their loved ones ended the day with a full dance floor, tears of joy, touching speeches, and memories made to last a lifetime! We love everything about their beatiful Autumn Wedding!
