We’re kicking off our 2026 Wedding Showcase Design Gallery Series with the welcome experience, the very first moment guests step into the event. The welcome experience sets the tone for the entire day, and this year’s Wedding Showcase started on the perfect note. From the moment guests arrived at the National Museum of African American Music, we wanted them to feel excited, cared for, and ready to explore all the inspiration waiting inside. Our Registration Table and Entrance were designed by Events by Elizabeth to be warm, inviting, and beautifully aligned with the look and feel of the showcase.

THE ENTRANCE & WELCOME SIGN

Guests were welcomed by a bright balloon arch installation by Events by Elizabeth at the museum entrance. The museum’s colorful architecture and the elegant balloon display created a photo‑worthy moment before guests even stepped inside. Just beyond the doors, an acrylic HCWS welcome sign, designed by Chloe & Co. Studio, introduced the event and guided guests to the Registration Table, setting the tone for the showcase.

THE REGISTRATION TABLE

The Registration Table was the first stop for couples to check in, pick up their swag bags, and enter for a chance to win a grand prize. Events by Elizabeth styled and decorated the table with teal draping, fresh flowers, glowing candles, and thoughtful details that made the space feel warm and inviting. Textured bud vases and colorful roses tied the welcome area to the overall design, creating a cohesive look from the moment guests arrived.

SWAG BAG DISPLAY

Filled with fun and practical items donated by our participating vendors, the Happily Connected swag bags were a thoughtful takeaway for couples. Displayed on gold shelving accented with fresh florals, the bags added a bright, stylish moment to the welcome area and gave guests something special to enjoy after the event.

WHY THE WELCOME EXPERIENCE MATTERS

The welcome experience is such an important part of any wedding or event because it sets the tone for the whole day, and that’s exactly what we wanted to create at this year’s Wedding Showcase. From the moment guests arrived at the museum, our Registration Table and Entrance were designed to feel warm, organized, and on theme. Clear signage, thoughtful details, and a friendly check‑in helped everyone feel comfortable right away. When the first moments of an event feel intentional, everything that follows feels even more special. We also hope this gave couples a little inspiration for how they can welcome guests at their own wedding. It was the perfect introduction to the Design Gallery, where they could explore all the creativity from our vendor teams.
