Next in our Design Gallery Series is the Lounge, Bar and Cake & Dessert. A well‑crafted lounge gives guests a stylish, comfortable place to unwind, recharge, and mingle away from the main reception. It is also a design moment, offering an easy way to extend your aesthetic with curated furniture, thoughtful décor, seasonal accents, and personal touches. With endless styling possibilities, a lounge elevates both the atmosphere and the guest experience.

The lounge at the 2026 showcase did exactly that. Designed by Sister Events, with the help of Bluebird & Co., Ink Wine, Events by Elizabeth and Lexie’s Bakery, the space blended lounge seating with the bar and the cake‑and‑dessert display. The result was a modern jazz‑club vibe that felt intimate, chic, and effortlessly inviting.

Sister Events Vision

Our vison for the lounge centered on a modern jazz‑club atmosphere, cool vibes, soft seating, and musical touches woven throughout. We imagined a space where guests could settle in, enjoy cake and a beverage, and feel wrapped in rhythm, nostalgia, and comfort. Every detail, from the florals to the décor, was chosen to echo that mood.

The Amplify Store at NMAAM was the perfect setting for the lounge’s modern jazz club vibe. The centerpiece of the space is a retro car trunk outfitted with speakers, vinyl, and microphones, creating a nostalgic focal point that immediately draws the eye. Along the walls, shelves filled with album art resemble a curated record collection, adding texture and a sense of history while still keeping the room open and inviting.

Sister Events added to the vibe by adding two sapphire‑blue velvet crescent chairs that provided a comfortable spot to relax. They paired it with a small table and a floral arrangement that softened the room’s moody, music‑house energy. Amplify has warm cabinetry and red shelves that create a welcoming atmosphere. Gold vases, sculptural accents, and rich florals on the shelves enhanced the lounge’s warm, club‑like glow.

Compared with the ceremony, the aim for the bar was to recreate a more classic jazz-lounge mood. Deep red roses and textural grasses brought in echoes of velvet and feather textures, while the rest of the flowers introduced the jewel tones in our palette and added gestural details to the arrangements and bar install.

Beverage Service by Ink Wine

Ink Wine brought a fresh and interactive beverage element to the wedding expo with our signature mocktail, Berry in Love. Crafted with hibiscus tea, blackberry syrup, and sparkling water, the drink was designed to feel romantic, vibrant, and wedding-ready.

To highlight the versatility of our service, Berry in Love was presented in two ways: as a regular-sized mocktail and as a mini bottled version. The bottled presentation added a fun and memorable detail to the experience, giving guests a creative way to enjoy the signature drink.

Through this offering, Ink Wine aimed to show how beverage service can become a meaningful part of the event design. By combining a custom drink concept with elevated presentation, we wanted to inspire couples to think about beverage service as an extension of the guest experience.

The Drink Curtain

Champagne walls with a ring for a drink sign and a live person handing a drink to guests are trending on social media. Sister Events wanted to bring the fun trend to the lounge with more of a jazzy speakeasy vibe, so they designed a drink curtain. The Drink Curtain created a dramatic reveal in the Lounge, as rich, velvety drapes part to unveil a signature mini pour by Ink Wine. Its vibrant red color, glittered rim, and striped straw catch the light against the dark backdrop. This striking contrast adds charm and mystery to the jazz-club atmosphere, making it a memorable detail that surprises and delights guests.

The Cake & Dessert Bar by Lexie’s Bakery

The wedding cake was a modern three-tier design with smooth white frosting and pressed flowers in purple and yellow. A clear spacer lifted the top tier, giving it a light and airy look, while a gold lace trim added a touch of vintage style.

The dessert table featured tall white candles in gold holders and trays of small desserts, all displayed beneath a dramatic hanging microphone wrapped in blue and metallic fabrics. A sign that read “Taste the Moment” made the table an exciting highlight in the modern jazz-club setting.

The Lounge was a highlight of the 2026 showcase, illustrating how thoughtful design can create a stylish and comfortable space for guests to relax, enjoy refreshments, and connect, transforming moments into memorable experiences.
