As part of this year’s Design Gallery Series, the Classic Table is all about taking a traditional idea and giving it a modern, minimal twist. Rosie’s Events leaned into black linens, soft white florals, and a signature bow motif to create an elegant look without feeling overly formal. It’s simple, intentional, and beautifully cohesive. We’re excited to share the inspiration and the talents behind this romantic vision.

Design Inspiration from Rosie’s Events
Rosie’s Events envisioned the Classic Table as a refined take on traditional wedding style. By using a minimal palette, clean lines, and a signature black bow motif, the design came together with an understated, timeless elegance.
Black linens anchor the design with sophistication, allowing the other details to glow against the dark backdrop. The florals, also designed by Rosie’s Events, include roses, ranunculus, and soft filler blooms that add a bright, romantic touch. Each place setting feels simple and thoughtful, with white plates, neatly folded napkins, and the stationery pieces tied together with a black ribbon. The clear glassware keeps the table feeling open and adds a little sparkle as it catches the candlelight. Gold flatware adds a warm, subtle contrast without overwhelming the minimal palette. Altogether, the table feels calm, classic, and beautifully put together.

Stationery Design Inspiration from Beautiful Dance Designs
For the Classic Table, I started by coming up with a very classic design, with florals and a crest for the main invitation card, along with other elements that aligned with that theme. After speaking with Marian at Rosie Events, she let me know that she wanted something still sticking with a “classic” theme, but with a minimal color palette and a theme of black bows throughout. Using some inspiration photos, I developed a minimalist approach to the design. The black bows were visible on each stationery piece but used in different ways.
The invitation featured a large bow at the top, above all of the invitation card information. The RSVP card featured a different style of bow, with the text arranged in a combination of right and center alignment, which I felt really drew the eye to the right places at the right time. I decided to use a landscape layout for the details card, featuring a bow with long, flowing ends wrapping around a center line, with the important information on either side.
I liked the bow design on the details card so much that I decided to continue that theme on the envelope liner. I went with a pinstripe sort of design with different bow designs spaced out evenly throughout. I felt like it was a great touch that helped tie the theme together throughout the suite, while still keeping that classic style. The entire suite came out beautifully and truly elevated the classic look of the table design.

The Classic Table comes together with a soft, timeless feel. The minimal palette, the clean florals, and the bow details all work quietly in the background to create something elegant and inviting. It’s a beautiful example of how classic design can still feel fresh, simple, and full of charm.
Next, we’re stepping into a lighter, more playful direction as we unveil the Whimsical Tablescape from the 2026 Happily Connected Wedding Showcase.
