In 2017, James and Julie had a brilliant idea: they needed a covered spot where couples could elope amidst the beauty of their property, and thus, this beautiful area called the Hitchin’ Post was born! Infused with old Southern charm and rustic elegance, almost all of the materials used in this dreamy space are repurposed, with the doors boasting an impressive age of over 200 years. However, James and Julie envisioned one more element to complete the scene: a stunning chandelier to hang above James’s handcrafted wooden design. With care and dedication, James acquired and installed the perfect chandelier, transforming the Hitchin’ Post into “The Hot Spot to Tie The Knot.”
Julie and James continuously improved the Hitchin’ Post, adding charming elements like church pews to enhance its romantic ambiance. They consistently update the decor to uphold the venue’s excellence. Inside the spacious closet behind the doors, a diverse array of decorations awaits, ensuring that each season offers a distinct ambiance tailored to the preferences of every couple.
