Emily and Jacob's Spring Wedding

The invitation sets the tone for any event and the gorgeous invitation suite created by Sammi owner of St. Croix Designs for Emily and Jacob’s Spring Wedding at the Cordelle did not disappoint! We asked Sammi to tell us more about their stunning wedding and her beautiful design.

Emily and Jacob chose a timeless design for their invitation suite. We paired a classic, bold font with a square shape to provide a contemporary twist on a traditional style. The deep forest green shades contrast beautifully with a delicate floral liner, all enhanced by a custom wax seal to unify the entire suite.

The main thing that I loved about this wedding is that it really incorporated that early-Spring feel as you’re peeking into March. They picked muted jewel tones (emerald/forest green and burgundy base) but also incorporated some lighter hues as a hint to the approaching season! All of her bridesmaids had different color dresses mixed with both solid and floral motifs, which incorporated well with her floral appliques on the sleeves of her gown.

Echoes of Eden also foraged seasonal blooms (such as tulip poplar branches) for their ceremony installation, which they ended up using as a surrounding for a photo spot next to the dance floor (with a custom neon-sign with their last name). We originally had planned this for an outdoor ceremony, but endured 60+ mph winds and sideways rain, so we quickly pivoted to the indoors– it ended up being stunning against the bright Cordelle wall as the skylight gave it an airy, light-touched feel.

The invite that Sammi created with them was really cohesive with both the solid colors and florals throughout the wedding design. She really had the vision!
