Princess and Tyler’s modern glam black and white wedding was nothing short of Stunning!

The couple shared a gorgeous ceremony with a stunning backdrop featuring a grand floral arch and some simple candles. This also doubled as the backdrop for the couple’s sweetheart table at the reception! The black and white décor provided by Everyday Fiestas and the white orchid centerpieces were perfect for their modern glam celebration.

What was it like working with Everyday Fiestas? We were delighted to work with Everyday Fiestas. We found them on the recommendation of our wedding planner, Katie. They were professional and easy to work with.

We loved the gold detailing of the bride and groom’s reception outfit change! Absolutely Gorgeous!

From the Bride, Princess
Our Love story
Princess moved to the U.S. at age 6. She began attending the same church as Tyler and they formally met in the spring of sophomore year of high school while hiding Easter eggs at church. Unbeknownst to them, their families already knew each other, they became friends and flirted throughout high school. They attended college in close proximity and by spring of 2016, they began dating. They dated for 5 years, 4 of which were long distance as Princess completed her medical degree. Tyler proposed spring of 2021 and the two were married fall of 2022.
Summary of Wedding Day events
The day began with the wedding parties preparing for the ceremony. The couple’s first sight of each other was  followed by the wedding ceremony.  During the ceremony, the couple’s unity ceremony involved sealing letters they wrote to each other with plans to read them in 5 years and replace them with new letters at that time. Following the ceremony, as guests attended cocktail hour, the wedding party, family, bride, and groom had an intimate photo session.

The reception commenced with a Nigerian traditional welcome to guests with kola nuts (a cultural symbol of hospitality) performed by the bride’s father. The wedding party was announced next, and the couple made their entrance with a special choreographed dance to Afrobeats in Nigerian traditional attire. The remainder of the reception was filled with cake cutting, the first dance, bouquet and garter tosses, and to end the night, the couple and guests did the Jerusalema line dance, for which guests had been provided with a link to the dance tutorial on the wedding invites.

The couple and their loved ones shared a fun-filled reception complete with great food and drinks, touching speeches, traditional dances, and lots of love and laughter!
